Fashion - something which is emerging really fast in Pakistan nowadays. A lot of different fashion designers are coming up with their own brands and it’s a tough competition out there. In all this competition, HUM TV along with Q Mobile decided to come with with a Bridal couture week as winters is already here and I am sure many couples are planning on getting married. So, to ease out their clothing issues, Q MOBILE HUM BRIDAL COUTURE WEEK 2016 STYLED BY SWEET TOUCH was organized in the Mughal City of Gardens, Lahore, from November 25 to 27, 2016. I thought it was a good idea to attend BCW and witness the glamour this time around. This edition of Pakistan’s biggest bridal extravaganza showcased bridal collections of the country’s 26 leading and emerging designers including the latest bridal collections of Aisha Imran, Anees Malik, Amir Adnan, Asifa & Nabeel, Charcoal, Chinyere, Erum Khan, Hina Butt, Faiza Saqlain, IVY Couture by Shazia & Sehr, Mehdi, Munib Nawaz, MNR Design Studio, Nickie Nina, Q Mobile Rising Star Sumbul Asif of HEM, Republic, Shazia Kiyani, Sobia Nazir, The House of Arsalan Iqbal, Umsha by Uzma Babar, Wardha Saleem, Zonia Anwaar and Ziggi Menswear. The Grand Couturiers segment featured Elan, Nida Azwer & The house of Kamiar Rokni. N-Pro and N-Gents groomed 45 male and female models over the course of three days along with prominent names from the entertainment industry as showstoppers. The 3 day bridal extravaganza ended with power couples presenting Amir Adnan's collection. Some of the other collections were really nice to the eyes and I made sure I captured pictures for future wedding clothes. :D
I saw Vaneeza Ahmed Ali choreographing this Bridal Extravaganza and I must say she did a tremendous job. Hair & Make-up was done by the iconic Nabila Maqsood [N-Pro & N-Gents]. The designer line up and the illustrious list of showstoppers made #QHBCW the most eagerly awaited bridal fashion extravaganza of the season and I was personally there to witness it. Loved Ali Qureshi, a new male model walking with Saba Qamar as showstoppers for designer Erum Khan. The red dress looked immensely beautiful and I fell in love with it. I captured pictures of the dress using my Q mobile camera phone, instantly as it was something I could have used as reference for my own wedding dress in the future. :P Here are some pictures. I am sure you'll love the dress too.
where attendees could have hands on experience of the new devices. I tried my hands-on the two latest devices namely it was truly an impressive experience. Loved the cameras.
the additional theme of #FashionMeetsTech. This theme was made true with the digital coverage of the event throughout the fashion week using the latest technologies such as smartphones, highs speed internet and with the ultimate tool of live coverage these days i.e. Facebook Live and Periscope. I must say QMobile really helped me in capturing fashion, glamour and trends of QHBCW and hope they work as an ambassador of fashion and glamour in the future too.
